Logan Public Transit is pleased to announce that its pilot project, in collaboration with the Southeastern Ohio Center for Independent Living, which ran from August 16th through September 30th, 2010, was successful in bringing elderly clients and clients with disabilities from Haydenville and Nelsonville into the City of Logan for medical care, dialysis treatments, educational services, and recreational activities. Our goal was to demonstrate the need for safe, efficient, reliable and accessible transportation in these areas. We have used the results from this project to apply for funding to support extended service to these areas and others in 2011. Check back for updates as future projects unfold.
